About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Exams Officer to join a dedicated team in a lovely mainstream secondary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all internal and external examinations, ensuring full compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administration and organisation of all aspects of the examination process.
- Liaise effectively with exam boards and awarding bodies regarding registrations, entries, results, and compliance.
- Coordinate with teaching staff to ensure accurate exam entries and access arrangements.
- Prepare exam timetables and seating plans.
- Recruit, train, and manage invigilators.
- Ensure secure storage and handling of exam papers and materials.
- Oversee the distribution of results and certificates.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for internal and external use.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Proven experience working as an Exams Officer in a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of JCQ regulations and exam board procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in liaising with awarding bodies.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in using exam management systems and Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
