Salary Range £45,000 – £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
As a Principal Environmental Consultant, you will lead and influence projects that make a real difference. Working alongside multidisciplinary experts, you’ll deliver innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges. Your leadership will help ensure projects are successful, sustainable, and aligned with best practice.
Main Responsibilities- Lead multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design.
- Oversee the preparation and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, ensuring compliance with regulations and client expectations.
- Provide strategic advice on environmental policies, regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and clients.
- Monitor and report on implementation of environmental management plans and EIA conditions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Full membership of a relevant professional institute (e.g., IEMA) or willingness to register.
- Significant professional experience in environmental consulting.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects across sectors.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
