Job Description
Senior Electronics Test Engineer
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Southeast Essex
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
We are seeking a Senior Electronics Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves functional testing of board-level audio products, ensuring all equipment is tested, calibrated, and certified according to the corresponding procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fault finding electronics down to the component level and providing technical support to production teams.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct functional testing of board-level audio products, ensuring compliance with test procedures.
- Fault find and repair final assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.
- Perform reworking of boards to a high standard, including single-sided and PTH multi-layer PCBs with through-hole and surface mount components.
- Provide technical support to the production team as necessary.
- Produce and maintain test procedures in conjunction with the Design team.
- Read and understand circuit schematics and grasp the functionality of analogue and digital circuits of moderate complexity.
- Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed timely.
- Follow and enforce health and safety procedures within the workplace.
- Maintain tools in good condition and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electronics Test Engineer.
- Strong ability to fault find to the component level.
- Experience with both through-hole and surface mount components.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
