Job Description
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased)
- Location: Kent
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Core hours 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm
- Salary: Competitive
Join a growing company with a longstanding family business heritage, manufacturing hop products and supplying to the world's finest breweries. We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to enhance our skilled team, supporting diverse production processes and building services.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Work closely with the production team to undertake planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across all business functions.
- Utilise your engineering skills to develop solutions and support continuous improvement activities to optimise processing performance.
- Assist the Engineering Manager and projects team with new equipment installations, including industrial wiring tasks.
- Engage in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to rapidly diagnose and resolve control and instrumentation faults.
- Collaborate with suppliers and third-party resources for maintenance tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Preferably a 60/40 electrical bias.
- Engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship with HNC, ONC, or equivalent.
- Practical electrical and mechanical experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with safe work environments and systems such as Permit to Work; IOSH certification is preferable.
- Experience with pumps, motors and inverters, steam systems, pipework, compressed air systems, and more.
- Knowledge of food-grade areas and HACCP systems.
- Computer literacy in Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
