Job Description

Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

  • Annual Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
  • Location: Kent
  • Job Type: Full-time, Continental Shift Pattern

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kent. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in electrical engineering within a manufacturing context, ready to tackle challenges with innovative solutions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilising knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Analyse and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to maximise efficiency in the production process.
  • Collaborate with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products and assist in the transition from product development to production.
  • Design, develop, and test various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Represent manufacturing during cross-functional projects, ensuring designs are manufacturable and that manufacturing issues are addressed during the design phase.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, and control systems.
  • Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work under a continental shift pattern, ensuring flexibility and commitment.
