Job Description

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour

A fast-paced and inclusive education establishment in Sheffield is seeking a Post-16 SEND Education Support Worker to support High Needs learners in overcoming barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learners aged 16+ with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Track and promote progress in Preparation for Adulthood, Maths, and English.
  • Adapt to varied learning needs and manage behaviour effectively in classroom settings.
  • Work flexibly across different learning environments and support plans.

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience working in education with young people, ideally including SEN learners.
  • Proven ability to manage behaviour and support diverse learning needs.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and committed to learner development.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a dedicated SEN setting.
  • Familiarity with EHCPs and learner progress tracking.
