�??? DT & Art Teacher – Chatham ??�?Specialist SEMH Provision | Ages 11–16 | Small Class Sizes | Full-Time

Are you a creative and resilient educator with a passion for making a difference? We are seeking a dedicated Design Technology and Art Teacher to join our specialist team supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

�? About us:

We are a nurturing and inclusive school for students aged 11–16 who require additional support due to SEMH challenges. Our approach is therapeutic, personalised, and focused on building trust, confidence, and achievement.

???�? The Role:

As our DT & Art Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that spark creativity and practical skills. You’ll work with small groups of up to 4 students, supported at all times by a dedicated Teaching Assistant, ensuring a safe and structured learning environment.

?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated DT and Art lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with TAs, therapists, and wider staff to support holistic development.
  • Use creativity to inspire students and help them express themselves through practical and artistic projects.
