Looking to recruit for an Infrastructure Engineer based in the North of England β they are looking for a strong MSP background to work with their sites in the UK.
About the role: Working for an MSP helping customers build a better business by blending technology and strategy. Offices in the UK HQ near Leeds.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the IT infrastructure: This may include maintaining servers, storage devices, networking equipment, and other hardware.
- Systems Administration: You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and managing operating systems, middleware, and applications across the infrastructure.
- Ensuring security: This includes developing and implementing security policies following best practices, monitoring system activity, and responding to security incidents.
- Maintaining software and applications: You oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of software and applications used by the client.
Some of the skills we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
- Able to implement, manage and improve an IT Service Management Platform β ideally having had direct experience of ConnectWise.
- Highly organised, able to identify what is important and what is urgent, then prioritise accordingly.
- Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders, executives and leaders.
- Experience of operating in virtual team environments.
- Intermediate level user in Microsoft packages especially in Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Experience in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft environments (AD, Azure AD, Windows Server, GPO, Windows Desktop, Software Deployment, M365).
- Basic networking knowledge β firewalls, LAN configuration, troubleshooting, etc.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical users.
