Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add a Design Draughtsperson to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Aberdeen area.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am -2pm (flexible start and finish times)
Salary: £30K – £45K
Daily Duties:
- Develop accurate representations of product components, assemblies, and systems
- Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings that adhere to industry standards and company guidelines
- Generate technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and assembly instructions
- Ensure all drawings and documents comply with relevant codes and standards
- Manage and update design files e.g. revisions and changes throughout the product lifecycle
- Work closely with Engineers to understand design requirements, specifications, and participate in design reviews
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with a draughtsperson or design focused role
- Able to create detailed design drawings and technical documents
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault
- Knowledge of drafting standards e.g. BS8888
