REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.

Job Summary

Working as part of a team you will be responsible for the crane driving, slinging duties, despatch operations within the GFM department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overhead (Cab) crane driving in the GFM forge and Heat treatment departments.
  • Pendant/remote driving in the GFM forge and Heat treatment departments.
  • Slinging duties in the GFM forge and Heat treatment departments.
  • General Housekeeping duties.
  • Loading and unloading of material using crane and forklift truck.
  • Despatching of material from the GFM department with relevant paperwork.
  • Receipt inspection of incoming material and completing material inspection documentation for sub-contract work.
  • Entering information onto the internal computer system.
  • Assisting with heat treatment operations within the GFM.
  • Perform pre-shift crane checks.
  • Generate STOP card.
