REED Practice are pleased to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Corporate Tax Manager to join our clients based in Watford. This role involves managing the compliance affairs of a diverse portfolio of corporate and personal clients, as well as supporting the Business Tax Team in delivering advisory services on complex tax matters such as incorporations, IT/CGT planning, reconstructions, demergers, share schemes, and EIS/SEIS.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Carry out tax work in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
- Prepare Corporate Tax Returns and handle related enquiries.
- Assist staff and principals with tax-related issues.
- Consider tax planning opportunities and implications.
- Take responsibility for a client portfolio under the supervision of the Corporate Tax Principal.
- Maintain records of Corporation Tax Returns and ensure timely filing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CTA qualification is essential.
- Experience gained within a practice environment.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of OMBs, overseeing compliance work and identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Understanding of the interaction with non-corporate taxes is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient IT skills and strong technical tax ability.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and the capability to manage junior team members.
