Job Description

Community Support Worker (Children and Adults)

  • Job Type: Part-time (Weekend work)
  • Location: Salford
  • Salary: Competitive

We are looking for a caring and motivated Community Support Worker to join our team. This part-time position requires weekend availability and involves supporting both children and adults in their homes and during community outings. Candidates should be passionate about delivering exceptional care and understand the importance of safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care that addresses both the physical and emotional needs of children and adults.
  • Implement personalised care plans that include both in-home care and community activities.
  • Ensure a secure and positive environment for individuals at their homes and during external activities.
  • Observe and document any changes in the individuals' conditions, reporting to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Uphold all safeguarding protocols during interactions and activities.
  • Efficiently manage travel schedules to ensure timely care across various locations.
  • Shifts are typically 4 to 6 hours long.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience in a care-related role within the UK.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding protocols, particularly concerning vulnerable individuals.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effective interaction with children, adults, and their families.
  • Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
  • Must have an up-to-date DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one through our support.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
