A busy successful contractor now has a new opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing commercial operations. The role includes minimising costs, particularly in relation to the requirements of the NEC4 contracts under which major projects are contracted, as well as mitigating risks on mission-critical projects while ensuring quality and value for money.

You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and Buyers, implement commercial best practices, and develop cost templates to ensure consistency across the business. You will also be involved in reviewing tenders for risks and opportunities, managing sub-contractor and client variations, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. Additionally, you will monitor project costs, submit client applications for payment, and manage the payment process for sub-contractors and clients. Regular site visits will be required to assess project progress.

For this role, the client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally with some management experience and experience in NEC contracts. A proven history demonstrating an ability to deliver performance in operations related to Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.

In this role the salary will include a benefits package including a car allowance, private healthcare, health insurance, an extensive Employee Assistance Programme and annual leave that increases after two years of service.
