A well-established precision engineering company is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join their afternoon shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist with sliding head experience and a solid understanding of Fanuc controls to work with a range of high-spec machines in a clean, well-organised environment.
Key Machines (in order of priority):
- Hanwha
- Star
- Tornos
- Citizen
All machines are equipped with milling capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain sliding head CNC machines using Fanuc controls
- Perform basic setups and adjust offsets and inserts as needed
- Conduct regular quality checks using dedicated gauging, micrometers, and verniers
- Load material and monitor production runs
- Maintain setup integrity and ensure consistent part quality
- Advantageous: Ability to change milling cutters, drills, and taps
- Advantageous: Experience using shadowgraph and non-digital bore micrometers
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience operating sliding head CNC machines
- Strong familiarity with Fanuc control systems
- Good understanding of quality control procedures
