A great opportunity has arisen for a CMM Inspector to join a leading manufacturing company who supply world-class products to various industries including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Renewable.
Job Description:
- Perform final & inter-stage dimensional inspections and support the requirements for documenting and maintaining records associated with these activities.
- Review and verify route cards, process instructions, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of components.
- Liaise with client inspectors as required.
- Perform intermediate and final dimensional inspections including documenting and maintaining records associated with inspection.
- Verify process instructions, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures.
- Inspect parts to include the production and control of documents for materials processes and parts.
- Assist in the development and control of necessary documentation, analyze & report on materials, processes, and products.
- Calibrate and record measuring equipment.
- Liaise with other departments to maximize output.
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.
- Competent user of measuring equipment, e.g., Verniers, Micrometers, CMMs, and vision systems.
- Basic knowledge of all relevant British standards.
- Substantial experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings and associated engineering documentation.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work on your own initiative.
- Flexible attitude to work.
Additional Details:
- Salary subject to experience.
- Shift pattern: 6 am – 2 pm and 2 pm – 12 am, rotating on a weekly basis (5 days, 4 days).
