CMM Inspector

A great opportunity has arisen for a CMM Inspector to join a leading manufacturing company who supply world-class products to various industries including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Renewable.

Job Description:

1. Perform final & inter-stage dimensional inspections and support the requirements for documenting and maintaining records associated with these activities.
2. Review and verify route cards, process instructions, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of components.
3. Liaise with client inspectors as required.
4. Perform intermediate and final dimensional inspections including documenting and maintaining records associated with inspection.
5. Verify process instructions, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures.
6. Inspect parts to include the production and control of documents for materials processes and parts.
7. Assist in the development and control of necessary documentation, analyze & report on materials, processes, and products.
8. Calibrate and record measuring equipment.
9. Liaise with other departments to maximize output.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

1. Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.
2. Competent user of measuring equipment, e.g., Verniers, Micrometers, CMMs, and vision systems.
3. Basic knowledge of all relevant British standards.
4. Substantial experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings and associated engineering documentation.
5. Computer literate.
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
7. Able to work on your own initiative.
8. Flexible attitude to work.

Additional Details:

1. Salary subject to experience.
2. Shift pattern: 6 am – 2 pm and 2 pm – 12 am, rotating on a weekly basis (5 days, 4 days).
