Our client, Stockport Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Out of Hours Team.

Working a shift pattern outside of normal hours
Responsibilities of this role:
- Addressing urgent situations involving children and adults at risk, where delay could cause harm.
- Conducting Section 47 enquiries, co-working with police and other agencies, and initiating Emergency Protection Orders (EPOs) when necessary.
- Carrying out initial assessments to determine the nature of the crisis and the appropriate course of action.
- Offering immediate support and guidance to individuals and families in need, including arranging emergency accommodation or other necessary resources.
- Collaborating with the police, health services, and other relevant agencies to ensure a coordinated response.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
