Our client, Wigan Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. Fantastic payrate of £35 per hour!

Responsibilities of this role:- To undertake child and family assessments, in partnership with the Child, their parents or carers and other agencies, ensuring that the child and the child’s voice is central to the assessment, with appropriate consideration and analysis of risk.
- To provide support, guidance, advice and services to children, young people and families/carers to ensure that issues of concern are identified and are addressed in a timely manner and that the needs of the child are reassessed and reviewed as appropriate.
- To ensure that children and young people are safeguarded and protected from harm, and positive outcomes are promoted through timely intervention.
- Be involved in permanency planning for children, ensuring their holistic needs are met in their long-term placement.
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Qualified Social Worker.
