Our client is seeking a Paralegal to join our expert Military team, renowned for its tenacity and expertise in military service legal matters. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting military personnel in legal claims against the MoD, particularly in cases related to inadequate protection from illness or avoidable injury.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the inspection of disclosure documents and manage related administrative tasks.
- Handle Conditional Fee Agreements (CFAs) and funding arrangements efficiently.
- Address telephone enquiries from clients, providing clear and empathetic communication.
- Review medical records meticulously to support case preparations.
- Prepare witness statements and instructions to experts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Engage in continuous learning and development within the military legal service field.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Law degree or equivalent academic achievement in a related field.
- Excellent client care skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues involving emotional and vulnerable clients.
- Strong IT literacy and good interpersonal skills to manage frequent client interactions over the phone.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently with a proactive work ethic.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the capacity to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
