We are seeking an experienced, efficient, and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join our growing property management company. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and the opportunity to deliver a standard of excellence to our clients. With our company experiencing exponential growth, we need a strong candidate with comprehensive experience in managing various surveying services.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct specialised building surveying works, including damp/water ingress surveys, structural/subsidence surveys, rebuild cost assessments, insurance-related surveys, licence to alter reports, condition reports, and Planned Maintenance Programs.
  • Deliver reports within the quoted fee range and specified time scales.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the team across a range of clients.
  • Provide technical and project management support to the property management and project management teams.
  • Occasionally manage projects, from the specification of works to overseeing the completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in correspondence, reports, and technical survey work.
  • Well-organised and efficient, with the ability to take ownership of work. Accountability is crucial.
  • Capable of handling multiple large- and small-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable building strong client relationships and dealing with diverse clientele.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Focus on quality, customer service, and delivery.
  • Proficient in process management.
  • Relevant qualification in Surveying and membership of a relevant industry regulatory body.
  • Experience working independently and unsupervised, from client brief through survey to issuing bespoke reports.
  • Experience in a wide variety of surveys, including block valuations.
  • Successful track record and up-to-date knowledge of the Building Surveying industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various other online and desktop software.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.
