Job Title: Bricklaying & Multi Skills Lecturer

Position: 22.5 hours per week

Role type: Temporary

Location: Cambridge

Rate: £25-£35 per hour including holiday pay

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across various programmes, accommodating a diverse range of ages and abilities.
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials, including handouts, assignments, and electronic resources.
  • Prepare and assess Schemes of Work and Assessment in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Undertake administrative tasks essential for the effective operation of programmes.
  • Act as a course tutor, supporting learners in achieving their targets and providing feedback to students, parents/guardians, and employers.
  • Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students and contribute to promotional activities.
  • Maintain and develop professional links within the industry and stay updated with current practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 vocational qualification in the Construction industry.
  • GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Certificate in Education/PGCE/DTLLS/DET preferred.
  • Substantial, recent, and relevant industrial experience in Bricklaying or Construction Maintenance.
  • Experience in lecturing, instructing, or training is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in IT and ability to create teaching resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
