About the Firm
Join one of the region’s leading independent accountancy practices, with a strong reputation and a team of over 50+ individuals across multiple offices. You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced bookkeeping team, with plans to expand due to increased client demand.
The Role
We’re seeking a confident and capable Bookkeeper with experience in practice to support a growing client portfolio. You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing VAT returns
- Bank and control account reconciliations
- Drafting working papers for quarterly reviews
- Assisting with management accounts preparation
You’ll manage a selection of clients from a shared portfolio of around 60 monthly clients. Each team member typically handles 15–20 clients, building strong relationships and taking ownership of their accounts.

Ideal Candidate
- Practice experience is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure
- Local candidates preferred for ease of commute
- This role is not junior; we welcome applications from semi-seniors (3–5 years’ experience) to seasoned professionals (20+ years). Payroll is managed by a separate department, so this role focuses on core bookkeeping tasks.
