Reed Finance is working in partnership with a well-known public body in Belfast city centre, in the appointment of a qualified and experienced Finance Business Partner to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an organisation at the heart of a transforming Belfast!
The role:
- To act as the Finance Business Partner, adding commercial value and insight, providing financial input into operational strategy, and assisting with special projects and statutory and management reporting as required.
- Ensuring timely provision of pertinent financial and commercial information to the division.
- The Finance Business Partner will also assist with the compilation of the annual budget, in-year forecasts and the monthly management accounts package.
- Ensure sound financial practice is embedded in the division and perform a challenge/scrutiny function in relation to management of budgetary constraints.
- Provide financial and commercial input, with focus and direction on service delivery and development of local and cross-border projects, as part of the wider strategic support function.
- Support the General Manager and Heads of Operational Improvement on the identification, development and implementation of all revenue generation, cost reduction and business improvement initiatives.
- Assist the Head of Group Finance in the corporate planning and budgetary control process including two reforecasts per annum.
- Lead the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the Group and its operating companies in conjunction with the Head of Group Finance.
About YOU!
Essential Criteria:
- Degree qualified accountant with membership of CCAB or equivalent, with minimum of 3 years’ post qualification industry/commercial experience.
- Previous experience of finance business partnering in a commercial/industry role.
- Experience of implementing cost reduction plans, and/or improving profitability.
- Strong commercial acumen and able to use analysis underpinned by financial information to drive improvements in business performance.
- Ability to motivate and influence others.
