Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Baildon

A great opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a small, collaborative engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys hands‑on problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, prioritising machine uptime.
• Perform occasional facilities maintenance tasks.
• Project involvement and CI processes
• Manage stock ordering for parts and consumables.
• Ensure effective time management and prioritisation of repairs.
• Work independently without direct supervisory responsibilities.

Skills & Experience

• Hands on Multiskilled maintenance – mechanical bias with electrical experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Electrical qualifications or certifications preferred, but strong practical electrical experience will be considered.
• Ability to work as part of a small team (currently three engineers with similar skill sets).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability.
• Candidates from highly structured environments (e.g., large FMCG companies) may find this role less suited, as we require flexibility and hands‑on involvement rather than rigid processes.

Additional Details

• Salary: £42,000 – £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm
