Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Procurement Assistant on behalf of our valued client. This Procurement Assistant opportunity is ideal for an individual who is confident, proactive, and able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. As the appointed Procurement Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the wider team and contributing to the smooth running of daily operations.
About the Role
- Supporting the purchasing team with stock ordering and supplier communications
- Tracking deliveries, updating inventory records and ensuring accurate documentation
- Raising purchase orders and monitoring procurement workflows
- Maintaining supplier databases, product records and compliance files
- Liaising with production and warehousing teams to ensure smooth supply chain processes
- Assisting with cost comparisons and supplier performance reports
About You
- Experience in procurement, supply chain or administrative support
- Strong communication skills with confident supplier engagement
- Excellent organisation and accuracy in document handling
- Good working knowledge of Excel and database systems
- Proactive, team-focused and confident managing multiple priorities
