Agency Social Worker - Looked After Children LAC - Leicester City Council

Overview

Our client, Leicester City Council, is seeking 2 agency Social Workers for its Looked After Children (LAC) service.

This role will last 3 months initially and is paid at £35 – £38 umbrella.

Responsibilities

• Progression of care plans for children and young people with a plan of remaining in care, with consideration to discharge of care order and SGO.
• Generally two days a week in the office as a target to build relationships with team, subject to the visits and meetings.
• Approx. caseload numbers of 20.
• Parking arrangements – with it being the city centre is there a supplement or discount available? Nearby city centre parking available which is reimbursed.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
• Happy to consider any Social Workers with a background in Child Protection or Assessment as long as they have some LAC knowledge/experience.
• You will need court work experience
