My client, a school in Enfield, is seeking an Administrative Officer to join their dedicated office team. This role involves providing essential clerical and administrative support to the Headteacher, staff, and Governing Body. The ideal candidate will be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of our school's administrative functions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact at reception for visitors, parents, and callers, ensuring a courteous and professional interaction.
  • Manage the telephone switchboard, handle routine queries, and make informed decisions on the urgency of telephone calls.
  • Provide clerical support to Senior Leaders, staff, and Governors, including document preparation, photocopying, and confidential correspondence handling.
  • Maintain efficient filing systems and manage the daily post distribution to staff pigeon holes.
  • Assist in scheduling, booking guests for annual reviews, and taking minutes during meetings.
  • Support the Office Manager with ordering and finance tasks.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of administrative systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the school’s security, confidentiality policies, and health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with another Administrative Officer to ensure comprehensive coverage of all duties.
