We are a well-established accountancy practice based in Central London searching for a Trainee or Semi senior Accountant to join our busy and growing team. The firm provides a wide range of accounting, auditing and taxation services to clients in a variety of sectors.
Applications will be considered from school leavers as well as graduates who wish to study for either AAT or the ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business, leading on to a professional qualification. As a Trainee Accountant, you will be based in our office in Central London and will receive excellent practical experience alongside a study package which will lead you to achieving an AAT or ATT qualification. For the right candidate, career progression is supported with a view for further study towards the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) qualification after completion of the AAT or ATT.
Your role will include:
- Bookkeeping
- Preparing VAT returns
- Assisting other members of staff with statutory and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Working on audits
- Assisting and working on personal and corporate tax returns
As well as supporting you in obtaining a formal qualification, you will receive all round on-the-job training.
Qualifications required:
- A minimum of 120 UCAS Tariff points from your top 3 A-levels, or equivalent (300 using the old tariff)
- A minimum of Level 6 (B grade using the old system) in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent
- The right to work in the UK
- For graduates, a 2:1 degree, attained within the past 3 years is required
- Applications will also be considered from individuals who have already gained between 12 months to three years experience in a firm of accountants.
