VACANCY: PRINT ESTIMATOR
Location: Manchester
SALARY: £28K – £32K
Located at Trafford Park, Manchester, Print Search Ltd provide innovative and cost effective print solutions. We are part of the Hague Group who are a highly successful organisation with offices across the UK and Australia.
This is a busy and varied role and whilst the focus is on estimating activity the role also includes account management for some designated accounts.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
- You already have solid estimating experience gained within a print environment. A good working knowledge of print production and finishing (e.g. processes, material and costing) would be beneficial.
- You are experienced in liaising with customers / suppliers.
- Highly numerate and commercially astute, you are able to work effectively across all levels and departments.
- You are highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
- You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A great team player, you have a flexible approach to work and a superb, ‘can do’ customer service attitude.
If you can also offer any of the following experience then that would be beneficial: account management, small run litho, A3 digital, large format (Impala), Tharstens software.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Ensuring that you thoroughly understand project briefs, liaising with internal or external parties for additional information as may be required.
- Creating accurate and commercially viable quotes within agreed deadlines.
- Obtaining the best prices and estimates / quotes from suppliers in order to be able to offer the best-priced estimate.
- Advising of any alternative production processes or substrates available that could be more cost effective or provide a better solution.
- Converting estimates to jobs ensuring clear and accurate information is provided to the production team.
- Managing and purchasing raw materials.
- Ensuring that the ‘Work In Progress’ database is kept up to date.
