AG/CAD Limited develops the KASEMAKE CAD software program used by packaging professionals around the world to create structural designs for packaging. Allied to this, we also supply CNC cutting machines suitable for processing packaging and sign materials.
We are looking for a CAD Software Trainer to join our friendly team.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced CAD Software Trainer looking for a new challenge. However, a background in structural cardboard design together with enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to learn software quickly will also be considered. IT literacy and excellent interpersonal skills are key for this role, along with a passion for helping others learn.
The role:
You will be responsible for delivering training programs to all levels of users. While training is normally carried out in-person at our offices or remotely online, some UK and occasional overseas travel will also be required to deliver training courses at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective software training sessions in-person and remotely online.
- Stay updated on new software developments and adjust training courses accordingly.
- Customise training courses to suit different levels of experience and areas.
- Test new versions of the software as they are developed and report back issues to the development team.
- Deliver training on use of software to control CNC cutting machines.
- Assist the Support Desk in resolving queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as a Software Trainer and/or in design within a cardboard packaging design/manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with KASEMAKE CAD software a major advantage, although other packaging CAD experience would also be useful. However, full training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Proficiency in any general CAD, ideally with experience of Adobe Illustrator and MS products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify topics for diverse learners.
- Experience in mentoring or teaching groups, both online and in-person.
