Are you passionate about empowering communities and creating positive change? Groundswell Project is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will support the implementation and growth of our Find Connect Amplify model, which connects marginalised communities, amplifies their voices, and supports them in driving lasting change. Role Overview: As the Operations Manager, you will play a central role in managing our network of community connectors, who seek to build more cohesive communities across the UK through the implementation of our Find Connect Amplify model. You will help amplify our impact by supporting social media strategies and adding value to events and community engagement activities. This role is key to ensuring the operational efficiency of our organisation and helping us drive systemic change across communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Management: Manage and support our network of community connectors, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to effectively engage with their communities.
  • Training & Development: Oversee the training and development of community connectors to enhance their skills, ensuring they are well-equipped to drive the mission of Groundswell.
  • Evaluation & Impact: Assist with program evaluation, monitoring outcomes, and using data to continuously improve our work and report on our impact.
  • Event Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of events that build community resilience, increase engagement, and promote the work of Groundswell.
  • Social Media Amplification: Support the team in amplifying our message through social media platforms to reach a wider audience and promote community-driven change.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in operations management, ideally in the non-profit sector, with a focus on community engagement or social impact.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in training and supporting individuals, with a passion for empowering communities.
  • Familiarity with social media tools and strategies to support awareness and engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to Groundswell’s values of community empowerment, equity, and social change.
