As the Operations Manager, you will be a member of the Senior Management Team and involved in the running of KOKI Group UK Ltd, the UK distributor of Metabo and HiKOKI power tools. You are individually responsible for the warehouse and service departments and will have a real opportunity to be involved with key decisions that will drive the organisation towards their growth targets.
Main duties:
- Responsible for the effective, efficient, safe and clean operation (input, storage and output) of the warehouse and service departments for both the Metabo and HiKoki brands, having a major influence on achieving monthly sales targets.
- Managing the warehouse team (five team members) and service team (three team members), including monitoring their performance and supporting with their development.
- To be the Health & Safety Officer for both companies, ensuring health and safety is at its highest possible level.
- Responsibility for the main contracts affecting the warehouse operation including logistics (i.e. carriage in and out), waste management and recycling.
- Managing the relationship with our third-party inventory storage provider.
- Ensuring the accuracy of the inventory records and the periodic activity requirements of the finance IT system.
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience of at least three years in a similar role.
- IT literate. Proficient use of WMS, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Strong people manager.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional manner and the ability to build and maintain strong, working relationships with a variety of colleagues, key stakeholders and outsourced resources.
- Strong commercial and business awareness.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to make decisions, prioritise and multi-task.
- Adaptable, with the ability to take the initiative.
- Tenacious, flexible, and a team player.
- Robust problem-solving skills.
Desirable but not essential:
- Previous use of Microsoft Navision.
