About the role
Akabo Media is a leading B2B publishing and events company producing globally recognised conferences and exhibitions in logistics, mobility, and road user charging (RUC). Our RUC Conference Series is expanding across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and technology innovators shaping the future of road pricing and mobility.
As Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of the marketing strategy for the RUC event portfolio. This role is pivotal in growing delegate attendance, strengthening brand awareness, and driving sponsorship engagement. You will work closely with the sales, content, and operations teams to ensure each conference meets and exceeds its commercial and audience targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Delegate Acquisition & Retention
- Develop and execute high-impact marketing campaigns to drive delegate registrations.
- Build and maintain a targeted audience database of industry professionals.
- Adapt strategies for different regions, including Europe, North America, Middle East, and Asia.
- Building relationships with appropriate industry organisations.
- Sponsorship & Sales Support
- Collaborate with the commercial team to develop sponsorship marketing materials.
- Ensure sponsors receive maximum visibility across digital, email, and event marketing channels.
- Driving demand for sponsorship from new and existing prospects.
- Digital & Content Marketing
- Manage email marketing, paid advertising, SEO, social media, and website content.
- Develop compelling event landing pages to maximise registrations.
- Create and execute a content-led strategy that highlights conference speakers, topics, and industry insights.
- Performance Analysis & Optimisation
- Monitor campaign performance using Google Analytics, CRM, and automation tools.
- Continuously improve marketing ROI through data-driven decision-making.
- Branding & Market Positioning
- Ensure consistent event branding across all RUC conferences.
- Position RUC as a thought leadership platform for road pricing and mobility.
Experience and Skills
We are looking for a strategic, commercially driven, and hands-on marketing professional with a strong background in B2B event marketing. You should have:
- Experience in B2B event marketing, ideally in transport, mobility, logistics, or smart cities.
- Proven success in delegate acquisition and sponsorship marketing.
- Strong expertise in email marketing, paid media, SEO, and content marketing.
- Exceptional copywriting and campaign execution skills.
- Data-driven approach with knowledge of Google Analytics, CRM, and performance tracking tools.
- Ability to manage multiple international events simultaneously.
- Experience of working in events in Europe, USA, Middle East and/or Asia.
- Strong team collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
