This is a pivotal time to join an expanding organisation as we enhance our IT services and operations, focusing on our emerging defence portfolio. We are looking for a BA with a classic IT orientation (Networking, Delivery, Security).
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the development and elaboration of Business Cases and detailed requirements documentation for complex programmes and projects.
- Ensure project benefits are clearly identified, mapped, and monitored from initiation through the project lifecycle.
- Provide IT Governance assurance for non-functional requirements in Statements of Requirements and similar documents, ensuring projects and IT procurements align with these standards.
- Apply innovative solutions to complex business problems using a range of business analysis tools and techniques, considering different perspectives, relevant policies, legislation, and regulations.
- Ensure project solutions align with key stakeholder requirements and that any process changes resulting from the project are documented and understood.
- Coach, mentor, and supervise project and programme team Business Analysts to ensure successful project delivery.
- Engage actively with project sponsors throughout the project delivery lifecycle to ensure adherence to requirements and scope management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven track record as an IT Business Analyst, particularly in IT infrastructure, networking, cyber security, and IT service delivery.
- Experience in defence, engineering, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with a preference for Waterfall.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a thorough knowledge of process review, business analysis, and system development methodologies.
Desirable:
- Relevant Professional IT Qualifications such as BCS BA Practitioner, Six Sigma Black Belt, or an IT degree. Experience is prioritised, however.
- Knowledge of security frameworks- IS0, GDPR.
