Senior Clearing Coordinator in Wakefield

A global investment bank is currently recruiting a Senior Clearing Coordinator – VP on a permanent basis.

They are based in Liverpool Street and offer hybrid working with 3 days on site per week.

The role sits within the Global Markets Division / COO Office in charge of transversal functions.

The ideal candidate would have experience working with or within CCPs, Clearing Brokers, or related institutions.

This role is described as a Business Management type positions overseeing and coordinating clearing activities across multiple stakeholders: IT, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Trading.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordination of all Clearing aspects for OTC derivatives, Listed Derivatives (ETD) and Repos,
• Regulatory watch and Regulatory change relating to clearing obligation in Europe, in the US and in Asia
• Implement new rules and adequate organization to meet regulatory requirements
• Provide report on clearing activities
• Coordination of the response to CCP due diligence questionnaires
• Clearing impact of Transversal projects:
• Contingency plan on Clearing (Monitoring and implementation)
• Contribution to scare resources (RWA reduction, Balance Sheet reduction)
• Contribution to collateral clearing management upon request of the relevant team
• Relationship management with major European CCPs and Clearing Brokers
• Implement other CCP initiatives (LCH SwapAgent, EUREX partnership program)
• Act as Business Project Manager for Clearing IT projects

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of financial markets and clearing processes on CCPs.
• Experience working with or within CCPs, Clearing Brokers, or related institutions.
• Operational background in clearing (not purely commercial).
• Ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate effectively across departments.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and their impact on clearing operations.
• Exposure to IT projects (sponsorship or involvement) is a plus, though not a technical role.
