Sales Middle Office Associate

A Global Investment Bank are currently looking for a Sales Middle Office Associate with bonds experience on a permanent basis.

The role is based in Liverpool street and they offer a hybrid working which is 3 days in the office per week.

The ideal candidate would have experience within the back or middle office within a financial institution and have recent experience with bonds. (essential)

Summary

The Sales MO Associate is responsible for the execution of control and support functions for GMD sales. The main responsibility is to ensure the timeliness of trade capture, amendment, cancellation, validation, deal flow and life cycle events in FO systems.

Key Responsibilities

General

• Monitor deal flow and follow up on post trade issues, including performing FO/FO Recs where appropriate
• Ensure controls and procedures are developed to support the business and reduce operational risk
• Propose and formalise any improvements on controls and procedures
• Develop efficiency initiatives
• Participate in projects such as new markets/product development, improving deal workflow, new regs and market rules
• Ensure COSMOS controls are completed on a daily basis

Credit

• Investigate and resolve errors in trade details, post trade queries (internal and external), breaks, settlement differences
• Process and follow-up of CTM confirmations
• Book primary dummy trades for new issues from the Syndicate desk and amend with correct mark-up when published
• Follow-up Calypso integration, new counterparty KYC, AM funds creation in FO/BO systems

FX

• Monitoring, investigation and referral of FX sales account positions/P&L
• Trade amendment/cancellation/split/conversion/validation
• Monitoring, referral and allocation of FX UNKNOWN/BLOCK/TBAPAR trades
