Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Mail Sorter, you’ll be at the heart of our operations:
- Unloading mail and parcels
- Sorting items by postcode and moving them through the warehouse
- Working efficiently to meet tight deadlines – some teams sort over a million items in a single shift!
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to have worked for us before (we love new people!), but experience in warehouse or sorting work is a plus.
Our ideal candidate:
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced setting
- Pays close attention to detail
- Is flexible and comfortable switching between tasks
- Can push trolleys up to 250kg and lift mail bags up to 11kg
- Can stand for long periods during shifts
Pay & Shifts
The pay rates for Mail Sorter roles within our Mail Centres and Parcel Hubs are described below. Rates shown are payable for the entirety of your shift when the shift description criteria is met. Rates may change during busy periods; Angard Staffing will communicate changes in advance.
- Day Shift – STARTS AND FINISHES BETWEEN 05:31 – 19:59 — £12.54
- Dawn Shift – STARTS BETWEEN 02:01 – 04:00 — £13.40
- Early 05:00 – STARTS BETWEEN 04:01 – 05:00 — £12.99
- Early 05:30 – STARTS BETWEEN 05:01 – 05:30 — £12.77
- Evening – FINISHES BETWEEN 20:00 – 21:39 — £13.18
- Lates – FINISHES BETWEEN 21:40 – 01:59 — £13.90
- Nights – THREE HOURS ACROSS 23:00 – 05:00 — £15.11
- Overtime (40 hours) – Mon – Sat — £15.68
- Bank Holidays – All Day — £18.81
