Angard Staffing is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as flexible (temporary) Mail Sorters with Royal Mail
Whether you\’re looking to gain experience or take on a new challenge, this is your chance to be part of a team that helps keep the country moving.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Mail Sorter, you’ll be at the heart of our operations:
- Unloading mail and parcels
- Sorting items by postcode and moving them through the warehouse
- Working efficiently to meet tight deadlines – some teams sort over a million items in a single shift!
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to have worked for us before (we love new people!), but experience in warehouse or sorting work is a plus.
Our ideal candidate:
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced setting
- Pays close attention to detail
- Is flexible and comfortable switching between tasks
- Can push trolleys up to 250kg and lift mail bags up to 11kg
- Can stand for long periods during shifts
Pay & Shifts
The pay rates applicable for Mail Sorter roles within our Mail Centres and Parcel Hubs are shown below. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met. Rates may change during busy periods and Angard Staffing will communicate any changes in advance.
- Day Shift — Start and finish between 05:31 – 19:59: £14.88
- Dawn Shift — Starts 02:01 – 04:00: £15.73
- Early 05:00 — Starts 04:01 – 05:00: £15.33
- Early 05:30 — Starts 05:01 – 05:30: £15.10
- Evening — Finishes 20:00 – 21:39: £15.52
- Lates — Finishes 21:40 – 01:59: £16.23
- Nights — Three hours across 23:00 – 05:00: £17.44
- Overtime (40 hours) — Mon – Sun: £18.59
- Bank Holidays — All day: £22.31
