A global investment bank is currently recruiting for a Loan Agency and Transaction Management Analyst – VP on a full time permanent basis.

Based in Liverpool street, you will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with 3 days attendance per week.

The role will be to provide the middle office support requirement for the business conducted by the ERA Front Office Department for both Agency and non-Agency related transactions.

The successful candidate will have in depth experience of reviewing loan agreements from an operational perspective within an investment bank. They would also be experienced in the management and coordination of agency deals.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure that a high level of interaction and communication is maintained with the Front Office to ensure full knowledge of developments in the agency and non-agency business including pipeline trades.

· Review and comment on ‘draft’ documentation for new transactions to check for operational fit with the middle office requirements, highlighting any areas for further discussion with and/or review by the Front Office as necessary.

· Liaise with Data Management Unit on the opening of accounts.

· Ensure the necessary approvals are in place.

· Check (bank as agent) or obtain confirmation (bank as participant) that Conditions Precedents have been met and advise Credit Risk and Loans Administration.

· Confirm guarantee documentation is in line with the facility documentation.

· Confirm/agree treatment of fees (up front vs. spread) with Finance and advise Loans Admin.

· Obtain all original documentation, create the files for the deals and ensure that copies of all the appropriate documentation is provided to Risk and the Loans Admin.

· Liaise with the Risk and Loans Admin for all deals.

· Manage relations with the borrower and the bank pool.

· Monitor the syndication process for updating Smac as and when needed and be aware of potential overholds .

· Monitor and report outstanding covenants (with a specific focus on financial covenants), monitor the upkeep of securities and the sign-off of technical and financial milestones.

· Manage cash flows for the portfolio including managing drawdown’s and repayments, liaising with Loans Administration.

· Give the Front Office, representing the bank as a participant, the necessary information for the FO to take all necessary actions (including receiving appropriate authorisations) to reply in due time to the agent.

· Book and maintain trades in SMAC, based on MO standards.

· Maintain diary systems to ensure all actions on the portfolio are monitored.

· Provide information on the portfolio to the Front Office, as reasonably requested, e.g. for inclusion in annual reviews.\'

· Review the NBI, RWA and CWA numbers provided by Finance, provide comments and additional analysis as reasonably required by the Front Office.\'

· Review Basle II LGDs on a monthly basis.

· Prepare audit responses.

· Where the bank is Agent on a deal, and taking into consideration the segregation of duties between FO and MO:

o Provide input into and agree the agency fee with Front Office

o Coordinate between the borrower, legal (as necessary) and all other syndicate members

o Liaise with the borrowers to ensure they fulfil their responsibilities

o Oversee and manage the establishment of the contacts list and documentation platforms sites

o Monitor and ensure that all Conditions Precedent of the deal are met

o Liaise with the Syndicate to coordinate payments

o Manage any waiver requests

o Monitor compliance with covenants and distribution of information to the syndicate
