We are seeking an experienced Terminal Development Project Manager to lead the delivery of a significant terminal upgrade programme, with a core focus on security infrastructure and retail improvement projects. This is a high-impact position responsible for delivering projects that enhance passenger security processes, strengthen regulatory compliance, and improve commercial performance while ensuring safe, efficient operations within a live airport environment.
This is a contract position with a duration of 2 years. It will have a daily rate of £550 to £650 per day via an Umbrella (inside IR35). The role will be based in Doncaster and offers hybrid working (3 to 4 days a week in the office).
You will work closely with Security, Operations, Commercial, Retail, and Compliance teams, managing projects from concept design through construction, commissioning, and final handover. Your leadership will be critical in delivering phased works that minimise disruption to passengers, airlines, and airport operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning and delivery of terminal development projects, including:
- Aviation security infrastructure upgrades and screening facilities
- Passenger search, screening, and processing areas
- Security-driven terminal reconfigurations
- Retail layout changes, fit-outs, and commercial enhancements
- Proven experience delivering terminal, building, or passenger-facing infrastructure projects within an airport or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of airport terminal operations and safety-critical/compliance-driven project delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging Operations, Security, Commercial teams, contractors, and regulators.
- Strong project management capabilities across programme, cost, risk, and change control disciplines.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and present effectively at senior level.
