A public sector organisation is currently recruiting for a Communications Manager – Campaigns and Insight for a 5 month contract with extension possibilities for the right candidate.
The rate will be £500 – £538 per day umbrella (inside IR35) and will be based in central London with hybrid working available (2 – 3 days on site per week)
You would be responsible effective delivery of the Campaigns and Insight communications strategy, which is aligned to the delivery of the pillar’s strategic aims and objectives.
You’ll be part of a highly motivated communications team, with the chance to learn from senior colleagues. You’ll also have the opportunity to draw on your own experience and initiative to plan and deliver communications that support wider organisational and operational objectives.
Although this role has an external focus, your primary goal will be to ensure that their key audiences have the information they need, when they need it. You’ll provide your expertise and support to senior staff across their national network, and play an active role in building the communications profession within the organisation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
You will need to be a self-starter, able to quickly grasp new projects or priorities, or refresh and refine an existing approach. You will need to balance the strategic with the tactical, with a real focus on delivery. You’ll need to build excellent relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation, as well as with stakeholders from their partners, government, business and other groups.
You’ll have a good understanding of the different channels at your disposal and will use audience insight to choose the right approach. You’ll be focused on outcomes and changing behaviour and will use evaluation to drive continuous improvement of your plans. You’ll take responsibility for planning and producing content, and will work collaboratively with others to plan, programme and deliver your work.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS (PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL)
- Responsible for the effective delivery of the Campaigns and Insight communications strategy, which is aligned to the delivery of the pillar’s strategic aims and objectives
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the campaign and insight activity, including effective launch, marketing and evaluation strategies
- Work closely with partners to commission campaign activity and to project manage the entire process to ensure the creation of relevant and effective campaign assets which can be implemented across the organisation and key partner channels
- To act as the guardian for their branding, responsible for overseeing its implementation, usage and management and to work to improve their brand recognition within key audiences
- Strong understanding of a range of communications disciplines and channels, using knowledge to plan and adapt chosen approach
- Experience of forward planning and managing day-to-day communications and engagement activity, coordinated as part of wider organisational activity
- Innovative and creative mind-set, bringing new ideas to solve tough challenges
- Evidence of best practice in tracking and measuring the impact of communications and its contribution to wider organisational objectives
- Ability to form effective working relationships across a full range of internal and external stakeholders, including with seniors
- Confidence and credibility in a range of scenarios, including delivering impactful and engaging presentations and communications advice on your projects
