We are seeking a temporary Support Officer, this role is crucial for ensuring efficient placement of applications with the appropriate garages and locations. The position is office-based in Welwyn Garden City, AL8, and involves substantial phone work, requiring a candidate who is confident and proficient in both telephonic and computer tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and process applications for council garages, ensuring accurate placement with correct garages and locations.
  • Follow up on applications diligently to ensure timely booking of tenancy agreements.
  • Handle approximately 10 tenancy agreements per day, maintaining a high level of efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating clearly and effectively over the phone.
  • Utilise housing management software to update and maintain records accurately.
  • Work independently within a small team, with minimal supervision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in housing or local authority roles is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in using housing management software.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally on the phone.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer environment.
  • Must be able to start immediately and commit until the end of September.
