Our client is a global chemical manufacturer based in Livingston. They manufacture and supply a range of speciality chemicals for use in the healthcare and manufacturing industries. They are recruiting a Chemical Process Operator to join their busy production team on a 4 on 4 off (6.00am – 6.00pm / 6.00pm – 6.00am) shift rota. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe operation of the manufacturing plant and equipment by carrying out assigned tasks whilst adhering to the site HSE regulations.
Other responsibilities include (but aren\’t limited to):
Operating plant and equipment to achieve the required production levels in accordance with SOP\’s by following the production plan.
Ensuring the quality of finished product is satisfactory
Undertaking routine checks on plant and equipment investigating, reporting and repairing (where possible) any faults identifiedApplicants for this role should ideally be qualified to HND level in a technical discipline and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of HSE regulations in a highly regulated and / or hazardous manufacturing environment. A counterbalance FLT license is also a requirement for this role as is significant, demonstrable experience working in a Chemical, Pharmaceutical or other Chemical Process industry.
