About the Role
The role involves supporting the heat treatment of components, along with cutting and preparing specialist alloy products. This is a hands-on position in a technical manufacturing environment, ideal for someone who values quality, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out heat treatment activities in line with technical instructions.
- Programme and operate furnace control systems.
- Safely handle materials using overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
- Operate Brinell hardness testing equipment.
- Assist with large and small sawing operations.
- Update job records and bookings using the internal system.
- Support dispatch of materials where required.
- Complete daily safety, quality, and compliance checks.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating overhead cranes and FLTs.
- Experience of working with metals within a manufacturing environment such as heat treatment, forging, melting etc.
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Positive attitude towards safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good timekeeping, attendance, and personal discipline.
- Work with specialist equipment in a skilled engineering environment.
- Be part of a supportive, safety-driven team.
- Opportunity to contribute to improvement and development activities.
The position also includes a bonus of up to 10% OTE £4,300 on top of your salary.
