Chartered Accountant – Accountancy Practice – Newry Permanent | Hybrid | Full-time | Competitive Salary (dependent on experience) My client, a well-established progressive Accountancy Practice located in Newry area, are currently actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience. The ideal candidate will oversee a variety of accounting functions and client accounts. They must be able to develop exceptional client relationships and have a keen interest and experience in tax software. Key responsibilities include: Client Relationships: Establish and nurture strong client relationships, comprehend business objectives, and offer strategic advice and solutions. Address client queries promptly and efficiently. Tax Planning and Advisory: Formulate and implement effective tax strategies to optimize clients’ tax positions, providing expert advice on corporate tax structuring and other relevant areas. Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and review timely tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations. Client Work Oversight: Supervise the preparation and review of client work, including accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies. Deadline Management: Coordinate and actively manage month-end and period-end deadlines, tracking job progress and billing targets. What you’ll need to succeed! Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) Minimum of 3 years in an Accountancy Practice Experience working with clients across a range of sectors Professional, technical and pro-active approach to delivering advice to clients Strong written and verbal communication skills Sound knowledge of income tax and corporation tax Good knowledge and understanding of Accounting Software packages and MS Office packages with a strong proficiency in Excel.
