Quality Management Systems Coordinator Annual Salary: £35,000 per annum Location: Telford Job Type: Full-time Working Hours: Monday to FridayWe are seeking a Quality Management Systems Coordinator to join a prestigious plastic packaging manufacturer. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of quality and safety, ensuring compliance with BRC and HACCP standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control or assurance within the packaging or food industry and possess excellent communication skills. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct internal auditing to BRC Packaging level, including GMP, hygiene, and site audits. Serve as a member of the HACCP team, utilising your experience in this area. Perform laboratory testing, complete plastic material reports, and address supplier non-conformances. Respond to customer queries and non-conformances with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Demonstrate initiative and risk-based thinking in daily tasks. Complete customer questionnaires and specifications, ensuring compliance with their requirements. Monitor factory processes to maintain quality and safety standards. Manage a daily auditing regime to ensure continuous compliance and improvement. Attend and contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly operations meetings. Assist with internal, external, and customer audits, including BRC, ISO 9001, Ethical, and ISCC standards. Lead a small team of QA Technicians, providing supervision and guidance. Engage in cross-functional departmental interactions to support quality and safety initiatives. Participate in a small NPD team to drive new business projects and support the Quality Manager in maintaining site standards.Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in quality roles within the packaging or food industry. Internal Auditor qualification. Minimum HACCP level 3 certification. BRC training and certification as a Certified Auditor. Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong computer literacy and excellent communication skills. Ability to show initiative and apply risk-based thinking.
