Neighbourhood Response Officer Job Type: Full-time / temp rolling contract Location: Penge and Anerley with possibility of covering Bromley, Shortlands, West Wickham, Beckenham and Hayes (when needed) Hourly rate: £19.75 PAYE or £25.05 Umbrella per hourWe are seeking two Neighbourhood Response Officers to join a housing association based in Bromley. This role involves understanding local needs, collaborating with teams, resident groups, and external partners to maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained estates. You will also address and prevent anti-social behaviour and ensure continuous improvement in community services and facilities. Day-to-day of the role: Develop and implement neighbourhood plans and local offers. Conduct regular estate inspections, prioritising fire safety and other risk assessments. Collaborate with local residents\' groups to enhance community facilities, activities, and events. Work with local partners, including neighbourhood safety teams and youth services, to address safety and anti-social behaviour (ASB) issues. Coordinate with various departments to improve neighbourhood services. Conduct visits to residents in breach of tenancy agreements or those requiring additional support. Manage property viewings, tenancy sign-ups, and assignments. Represent the organisation in court, provide witness statements, and conduct evictions as necessary. Perform property condition checks for mutual exchanges, tenant notices, or planned visits. Assist in major incidents and the relocation of tenants as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong customer service orientation. Experience in community engagement and working directly with customers. Ability to develop effective working relationships with both internal colleagues and external agencies. Confidence in working independently and challenging service delivery to ensure accountability. Solution-focused with a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges. Quick learner with the motivation to achieve results. Resilient, adaptable to change, and proactive in finding creative solutions. Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring messages to different audiences.
