Management Accountant: North-Down Area Permanent | Full-Time | £35,000 – £40,000 per annum | 1-day work-from-home REED Accountancy is delighted to be partnered with our client, an innovative business operating within the hospitality sector and based in the North Down area, in the appointment of a full-time Management Accountant to join their dynamic team As the Management Accountant you will be working very closely with the Financial Controller, providing accurate and timely accounts to management and the wider team. They are seeking an enthusiastic individual, with great communication skills, a willingness to learn, strong technical abilities in accounting and reporting, as well as excellent skills in Excel and problem solving. Role and Responsibilities: Reviewing and closing month end management accounts in a timely and accurate manner Producing monthly management accounts to include Profit & Loss Accounts, Balance Sheets and narrative on key movements / budget variances Assistance with updating cashflow models and forecasts Preparation of year end audit packs and liaising with auditors across group audits Working with both internal teams and external managing agents to obtain approvals, and resolving finance issues Preparing VAT returns Reviewing monthly supplier payment runs Ad hoc project work and reporting. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: Be a fully qualified, part-qualified, or qualified-by-experience Management Accountant Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and various accounting software\’s Experience in closing month end reporting and producing management reporting packs Analysis of budget variances and understanding key events that impacted such variances in the month Ability to work independently when required and take ownership of responsibilities Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Strong organisational skills, time management and working towards tight deadlines For a confidential consultation to include package details, please contact Mary at REED Finance Belfast, apply via this advert link, or alternatively you can contact me on LinkedIn.
