A brilliant job opportunity has arisen for a German Speaking Team Manager to lead the international sales support team for an incredible client of ours that have a strong reputation within the technology sector.

The purpose of the position is to take responsibility of the international team that supports multiple markets across Europe.

A key focus will be on the German market which is brand new for this business but will have massive growth.

Your team works with field sales managers in Europe and supports them with the sales they are making.

Salary: £39,000 per annum basic salary

Bonus: The bonus is a mixture of individual and team performance. A conservative estimate of £(phone number removed) per annum.

Training: You will have a structured 2 week training and induction plan that really sets you up well for this role.

You will be responsible for a team of 5 and be responsible for leadership, coaching and development of the team. You will also service day-to-day customer requirements in the German speaking regions.

Duties include:

  • Manage, motivate and drive the team ensuring all key tasks aimed towards achieving revenue targets and adopt clear communication channel and working relationship with the International Sales Director.
  • To ensure international customers receive the highest level of customer service in all areas.
  • Break down the sales target to daily levels to ensure a 'this is where we are' ethos, thus increasing the team's focus on sales.
  • Ensure all quotations are maximized by ensuring that cross/up selling is being conducted where opportunities arise or are needed and that they are all followed up proactively, efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that their team are aware of and focused on the desired margins but not to lose orders based on this without referral.
  • Ensure the Team has a growth mentality; supporting their development and fostering the need for self-learning to become successful in their roles.
  • Ensure that workload distribution is even across the team, as well structure in place for the team to support other areas as well as their own to ensure continuity of service.
  • To understand and comply with all company policies, processes and procedures that are currently in operation and to undertake ownership and responsibility to implement new working practices which aid business efficiency.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for any day-to-day issues that may arise.
  • Attend regular Sales, Operational and Customer meetings as required.

  • Needs to be fluent in German.
  • Will have proven experience within a customer service or internal sales environment.
  • Will have at least 2 years experience as a team manager or leader.
  • Experience in European distribution and having export knowledge is an advantage.
