Environment & Sustainability Advisor Location: Essex Office Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience) Are you passionate about sustainability and ready to make a meaningful impact? I\’m currently supporting a leading infrastructure contractor with a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK. They are seeking a proactive Environment & Sustainability Advisor to drive carbon reduction, ensure environmental compliance, and embed best practices across their operations. Key Responsibilities Implement carbon reduction strategies across multiple projects. Monitor and analyse environmental and sustainability data. Present performance reports (e.g. carbon footprint, waste statistics) in client meetings. Develop and deliver sustainability training and policies across the business. Support environmental audits (e.g. ISO 14001, PAS 2080) and manage site inspections and corrective actions. Collaborate with teams to ensure proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Oversee COSHH assessments and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Assist the Bid Writer with bid submissions and tender processes. Support onboarding and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers. Candidate Requirements Essential: Degree or equivalent experience in environmental or sustainability-related fields. Proven experience in a similar role. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.Desirable: Knowledge of environmental legislation within the construction industry. Waste management experience or certification. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage across all levels. Passion for sustainability and driving cultural change. Willingness to travel to sites and client meetings
