Electrician
Portsmouth /Havant/Waterlooville/Paulsgrove areas
Salary: 48,067.50 per annum (Plus 1500 Welcome Bonus) - plus work van, fuel card, uniform, PDA
If you hold 18th Edition, or have equivalent work experience, and are qualified to Test & Inspect to 2391 C&G or equivalent, this is the role for you!
This is an exciting opportunity to join our client\'s expanding and united team carrying out EICR reports and remedials work, where you will play a key role in ensuring the highest electrical safety and compliance standards in the properties and communal areas that they maintain on behalf of Portsmouth City Council.
Our client\'s work is local, the majority of the properties we maintain being based within the Havant, Waterlooville and Paulsgrove areas close to Portsmouth.
You will be required to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRS), installations, servicing, repairs, and rewires of mainly domestic properties.
Your duties will include:
- Inspecting and testing electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment in domestic and commercial properties
- Identifying and documenting defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards
- Providing clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions
- Ensuring all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations
- Delivering a \'right work at the right time\' repair service, ensuring minimal disruption to the tenant.
- This will include undertaking electrical repairs linked to Non-Licensed Asbestos associated work (full in-house training and equipment will be provided).
Qualifications and Skills
- 18th edition or equivalent experience
- C&G 2391 Testing & Installation (Desirable but not essential)
- Good communication and decision-making skills
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Experience of carrying out electrical work within the housing sector would be an advantage but is not essential
